Good question. 3 reasons:
to share and to create. I consume content and do not create enough in public. Building stuff is lonely and hard. My hope is that some of what I share will help others. Maybe you adjust a mental model based on what I share. Maybe you avoid my missteps and fast-track towards your goals in building something great.
to save you time. There is a lot of noise in the world. I am flawed and am still making mistakes, but what I share here will either be (1) battle-tested insights that I’d give to a close friend or (2) high-signal information digests from people smarter than me. On (2) I will curate → read→summarize quality info and save you time.
to grow. This is uncomfortable for me and so it’s healthy to embrace it.
Cool story. Who are you though? Washed up poker pro turned product/ops. Built large parts of Streamlabs (acq. LOGI) and Minecraft. Got some things right, made even more mistakes, and have the scar tissue to show for it.
